Thanks a Million from World Bible School!

Mission accomplished—thanks to God’s grace and His work through many of you - WBS’s goal of recruiting one million new students in 2005 was realized. This is only English speaking students and does not include WBS in Spanish (an emphasis for 2006) and in 35 other languages. God alone knows the grand total with its increase which will result in a vast harvest for eternity.

Become a World Bible School Internet Teacher

South Plains has been a participant in World Bible School for many years with the Missions Committee supplying materials and paying postage for lessons sent, received and graded by volunteers for students in several countries, mostly in Africa. This year has seen a significant decline in the volume of correspondence handled by South Plains WBS teachers. Part of the reason may be due to increased postage costs for the students. Another may be the increased availability and use of the Internet in these countries. Many educated citizens are learning the value of the use of computers, and while most of them cannot afford a computer they can go to “computer cafes” which are becoming more and more widespread even in remote areas. WBS has had a teaching program via the Internet for several years, but is seeing a marked increase in the demand for studying the Bible via this media.
