UPDATE
- February 28, 2008
Greetings to South Plains,
We hope this finds you all well. We are fine here, always
looking for ways to grow the Lord’s work. The meeting we
recently had with Dan Coker went very well. It was based on
the Great Commission and intended to encourage and enable
the members to get involved in evangelism. We had several
visitors who showed a lot of interest; our hope is that they
will come into the church before too long. Dan was here
with his wife, Elise, whom we hadn’t seen in about 10 years.
It was very good to see them both after such a long time.
We are sending pictures of the meeting. We would like to
know how the work is going there and how the members are.
We would like very much to see you again. We say goodbye,
hoping that you continue to be blessed.
In Christian love,
Nestor and family

Greetings to our brethren of South Plains.
We hope all is going well with you there. We are fine here
in Montevideo,
although we have had a very cold winter which has adversely
affected us. We have a lot of members sick, but fortunately
without serious consequences. We are working on more
activities within the church to involve the youth. We have
sent photos of the young people preparing lunch for the
whole congregation (see below). I hope the pictures we sent
to Keith Rogers for use at Evergreen camp were useful.
May God bless you all.

interest people in Montevideo in the church.

Dear South Plains family,
It's a pleasure to write to you again and
wish you a Happy New Year, may God bless you in it. Things
are well here in Montevideo, but please
continue to pray for us that God might open new doors to us
to preach the gospel and finalize the works we have planned.
Ronnie Rama and son have been here and we have sent some
recipes and other things as well for use in the South Plains
Mission Fare, hope they are useful. With regard to
special needs, we are considering the purchase of a digital
camera and would like to get some material in Spanish that
we could use with our young people.
The congregation is very thankful for your
continued support of the work here in
Montevideo.
With regard to my family, we want to
personally thank you for your support of the work here on a
daily basis, my God continue to bless all of you. All
the brethren of El Chana send greetings to all of you at
South Plains and hope that God continues to reward you for
your efforts, your dedication and support that you give to
so many brethren; may He continue to bless you with
numerical and spiritual growth.
This is the desire of all of us in Uruguay; may God
bless you.

Dear Brethren,
Hope this finds all of you well. Here
in
Uruguay we are just coming
out what’s been a very hard winter, causing a lot of
sickness among the church members. Thanks to God, most of
them are recuperating, but we continue to solicit your
prayers, especially that we may all grow spiritually. Last
month one of our members, Nicolas Acuna, traveled to
Ecuador where he will be
studying. En route he went through
Lima, and made contact with Maximo and
Gloria Collao, and stayed with them. He was very well
received by Maximo and his family. We are very grateful for
their hospitality. I wanted to share this with you since we
all are laboring for a common cause and bonded as Christian
brothers.
Thank you for constantly thinking of us
and your continued support of our efforts in the Kingdom.
Greetings to the church and may God continue to bless you.

Dear Brethren,
It’s a pleasure to be in touch with you again to bring you
up to date on the happenings in
Montevideo. We are trying to motivate
the young people of El Chana. Our first try at this has
been some drama attempts with help from the brethren from
Ecuador I mentioned last
month. The young people participated in this as well as
some other members of the congregation. It turned out very
well with lots of participation and several outside visitors
came as well, giving us the opportunity to continue reaching
out to non-Christians.
We have tentative plans for a medical campaign next year
with Jack Walker and his group. We are contacting local
doctors to determine if we can develop more definitive
plans. Thanks again for all your support and
encouragement. Greetings and blessings to all the church at
South Plains.
