WHEN

We will depart from the South Plains parking lot on Sunday, July 23rd at 8:00 AM and return July 28th around 5:00 PM.  Campers will travel in tour busses driven by professional drivers.  Campers should pack a sack lunch to eat on the trip to the camp.  A brief pre-camp meeting and packing session will be held July 22nd at 6:00 PM in the South Plains Gymnasium.  The camp nurse will be available at this time to receive any medications and directions for your child.
WHO Camp Evergreen is open to any incoming 4th through incoming 8th grader.  It is not limited to members of the South Plains Church of Christ.  Visitors are always welcome and wanted.  Bring a friend!  Many of the South Plains Church of Christ members travel along as directors, cooks, and sponsors.
WHERE

Camp Evergreen is being held this year at Pine Springs Christian Camp, which is owned and operated by Lubbock Christian University.  For more information on Pine Springs, visit www.pinespringscamp.com.  The summer climate is cool and delightful.  Afternoon temperatures seldom exceed 80 degrees, and the nights are crisp in the clear mountain air.  The camp property consists of natural mountain terrain covered with an abundance of pine, spruce, aspen, and wildlife.  The property is in the Lincoln National Forest which provides many beautiful hiking possibilities.  God's scenic beauty serves to enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the camping session.  Christians worshipping God and helping others grow in the likeness of Christ while singing, praying, studying, and playing together makes for a most impressionable experience.
COST The cost of Camp Evergreen is $140.  This price includes housing, meals, supplies at camp, transportation, a T-shirt, and a meal on the trip home.  A $50 deposit is due no later than July 9th and the remainder of the balance is due at the pre-camp meeting on July 22nd.  Due to limited space, it is recommended that you turn in your deposit as soon as possible in order to secure your spot.
